Open Door Assessments
In order to help our students, improve their progress in Science and Mathematics and establish a strong foundation and competency in these subjects, Indirapuram Public School, Crossings Republik, Ghaziabad, has partnered with Open Door Education.
The Open Door Assessments aim at developing “learn by thinking, understanding and questioning” habit among school children. “Thinking Assessment” results and analysis help our teachers drive improvements in students’ understanding through thinking, remediation and questioning. This program keeps teachers and students naturally motivated towards improvement and working on learning gaps.
What Students get: Through cycle-wise quality assessments conducted in the school for the students of classes III to X, in partnership with the Open Door Education, students get a chance to reflect on their understanding of the concept they have recently learnt.
Misconceptions and Learning Gaps: Students and teachers get an easy diagnosis of learning gaps and misconceptions through the analysis of the ODA results, which is immediately available after the assessment. We aim to deliver an in-depth analysis for each question and each student which will help a student and teacher easily focus on the learning gaps.
Second Chance to Improve and Learn: Through a RE-learning assessment based on the same topics, we make sure that remediation happens. It gives the student and teacher, a chance to get the misconceptions and learning gaps cleared. This helps in improving the conceptual clarity.
After each test, Open Door generates a pin-pointed analysis for the teachers and also students/parents depicting the students’ performance, misconceptions and learning gaps. Open Door Assessments are accounted as one of the assessments in each Formative Assessment Cycle.
By participating in these tests, students develop a habit of critical thinking, questioning, and practical application, which will help them in their future academic and professional endeavors.
