Karate

Karate is a martial art developed in Okinawa, Japan, characterized by its focus on striking techniques. It involves punches, kicks, knee strikes, and elbow strikes, as well as blocking and defensive moves. Practitioners also learn kata, which are pre-arranged forms or patterns of movements designed to simulate combat against multiple opponents.

Karate emphasizes discipline, respect, and self-control. Training typically includes practicing techniques, sparring with a partner, and performing kata to build strength, speed, and precision. Karate is practiced both as a sport and as a means of self-defense, and it has various styles, such as Shotokan, Shito-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, and Wado-Ryu, each with its own techniques and philosophies.
